Stevie Davies is a contemporary kiln-formed glass artist and tutor based in Wirksworth, Derbyshire, where her creative studio runs alongside her independent gallery for contemporary craft.
Working with hand-cut glass, multiple kiln firings and specialist surface finishes, Stevie creates sculptural objects, wall installations, functional art and wearable pieces. Inspired by water, shifting skies, landscapes and changing light, Stevie translates observations from the natural environment into refined glass forms that explore colour, transparency and movement. Her work balances art, design and function, creating contemporary pieces that encourage slower looking and deeper connection.
Alongside her studio practice, Stevie supports fellow makers, showcasing their work and managing commission clients, and collaborates with artists working in materials including metal, wood and blown glass. Supported by Arts Council England through DYCP funding in 2025, she continues to develop ambitious new work and expand the possibilities of kiln-formed glass.
