Designer-maker Selina Rose creates tactile, patterned textile surfaces for residential and commercial interiors. Carving and manipulating felted wool, Selina sculpts relief patterns that create a sense of movement, play with light and shade and invite the touch.
Each intricately cut surface is designed by Selina to add texture to interior spaces, softening the environment & encouraging sensory engagement through design & natural materiality. In her Suffolk studio, Selina specialises in making textile installations, acoustic panels, screens, room dividers and rugs. Driven by an environmentally conscious approach and a passion for natural materials, she carefully and consciously crafts her products with a emphasis on quality, craftsmanship and a zero waste ethos.
Selina established her own creative practice after graduating with a first class honours degree in Textile and Surface Design. Over the past 15 years she has built a large portfolio of clients and projects, designing homewares collections for retailers such as Heals, and creating large scale textile installations for BBC, Coca Cola, Selfridges, Arup and British Land.
