Lou been designing and making silver jewellery for over 22 years. Her background as an architect has a big influence on her designs, often being inspired by forms, textures and relationships between objects to create new and unique designs ranging from sharp clean lines to more organic forms. In the late 90’s she took up silversmithery night school and was able to test the boundaries of a single material loving the way that it translated from paper to piece within days and weeks. A lot of her work is created through the traditional processes including sawing, filing, soldering, forming and lost wax casting. In 2015 she set up www.atlanticdesignstudio.com and her work has been featured in several magazines including Brides, GQ, OX Mag and VOGUE UK. She has an Assay Office hallmark and her web store opened in March 2018.
She is listed on the Crafts Council UK Makers Directory, a member of the Guild of Jewellery Designers and a-n The Artists Information Company.
