Craft Stars at Collect 2023: look out for Design-Nation’s Members at Somerset House this week!
It’s an annual highlight of the contemporary craft calendar and we love spending at the Craft Council’s Collect event each year. After two exciting outings in 2021 and 2022 the DN team is taking a year out from exhibiting in 2023 out – but you won’t keep us, or our members, away.
We are delighted that no less than four Design-Nation members will be featured in the prestigious Collect Open this year. This is a showcase of the most exciting, innovative and ground-breaking contemporary craft practice, a chance for makers to explore really ambitious projects. The Collect Open will star fibre artist Bridget Bailey, glassmaker Michèle Oberdieck, silversmith Epona Smith and ceramicist Sarah Villeneau – a rich mix of talent and curiosity about practice.
Alongside the Collect Open will be the usual array of exciting UK and international galleries and exhibiting groups. As we explore the fair we’ll be looking out for these Design-Nation members on show with their galleries: Daphne Krinos (jewellery) at Contemporary Applied Arts; Margo Selby (textiles) at Cynthia Corbett; Jo McAllister (jewellery) at Goldsmiths Fair; Verity Pulford (glass) at North Lands Creative; Rachael Colley (jewellery) at QEST; and
Erum Aamir (ceramics), Fleur Grenier (pewter) and Beatrice Mayfield (textiles), all at Ruup & Form.
It’s going to be a wonderful show – our team will see you there!
