Award-winning ceramicist Sue Pryke pays tribute to her roots

Sue Pryke’s Hometown Celebration!

Ceramicist and Design-Nation member Sue Pryke was brought up in the Lincolnshire town of Spalding and her ceramics journey began in a small pottery near her home. As an established and award winning designer maker, Sue has designed for leading high street retailers as well as exhibiting and selling her signature collection of tableware throughout the UK and overseas. Now Sue is exhibiting her work in her home town for the very first time, at a new showcase on display at Spalding’s South Holland Centre.

‘I’m so thrilled to have my work displayed in the South Holland Centre. I’ve attended many arts events in the building over the years from the Arts & Crafts Society demonstrations, to theatre and concerts, it’s a great venue right in the heart of the town and a huge resource providing support for the arts in South Lincolnshire’.

The South Holland Centre is an arts centre, entertainments centre and cinema located in the heart of the Georgian market town. For a number of years Design-Nation has showcased members’ work in the foyer and window area of the centre. The rolling programme features a selection of work for sale by DN designer makers. Until the end of November the cabinets and window are dedicated solely to Sue’s work, with a selection of tableware that includes teapots, jugs, cups and bowls on display.

Sue Pryke Showcase at South Holland Centre, Market Place, Spalding PE11 1SS. Open daily 09.30 – 20.30 til end of November.
