Ying Zheng is a ceramic artist based in London. Her practice explored topics such social alienation, consumerism, and human experience. Her current sculpture series, Purity of True Feelings, explores the pure essence of humanity and relationships.
Ying Zheng employs gloop glaze as a compelling material language, to capture and preserve her notion of ‘fossilised emotion’. Her sculptures trace the emotional complexity, innocence, and fragility of human relationships.
Ying Zheng holds an MA in Ceramics and Glass from the Royal College of Art (2023). Her work has been exhibited internationally, including London Art Fair, 26th International Biennale of Vallauris in France, 31st Mediterraneo Competition of Contemporary Ceramic Art in Italy where she won Third Prize, and Ceramic Art Andenne 2025 in Belgium.
