Kinga Olah

capturing the body's negative space

Kinga Olah is a contemporary jewellery artist and maker. Her artistic journey is inspired by a deep and delicate interplay between jewellery and the human body. Her pieces thoughtfully explore and capture the body’s negative space, transforming absence into compelling pieces of jewellery.

Kinga’s creations are sculptural, exciting, yet delicate and sophisticated – they form an interactive yin-yang dialogue with the body. In her distinctive, time-consuming process, she delicately crushes gemstones and rebuilds them in layered compositions, creating an extraordinary surface texture and visual impact. Her jewellery also carries the symbolic and energetic power of consciously chosen colours.

As part of the slow craft movement, Kinga creates limited-edition pieces using recycled silver, gold and ethically sourced gemstones, often repurposing damaged stones to give them renewed life. Kinga’s work has been showcased in several prestigious exhibitions and international showcases. Notably, she received the Venice Design Week Award in 2024 and the GC&DC Award for Conceptual Jewellery in 2025, honouring her artistic vision and innovative approach to contemporary jewellery design.

Kinga joined Design-Nation as a Professional member in 2025.
