Liz Stovell is the artist and designer behind Untold Jewellery, a South London studio creating fine jewellery from responsibly sourced materials. Her practice explores the relationship between jewellery, identity and the ever-changing human experience, using modular and adaptable forms to create pieces that can evolve with the wearer.
A key feature of Liz’s work is her exploration of transformation through design, particularly her signature multiple combined rings, which invite the wearer to interact with and personalise each piece. Moving beyond the idea of jewellery as a static piece, her practice considers how jewellery can have a more active and personal relationship between maker, object and wearer.
Through this approach, Liz contributes to contemporary jewellery by combining innovative making techniques with adaptable design. Her work celebrates individuality while questioning how jewellery can respond to changing identities and experiences. Each piece is designed as an evolving object with the potential to carry and reflect the wearer’s own story.
Liz joined Design-Nation as an Associate in 2024 and moved up to Professional in 2026.
