Tom Moy is a Somerset-based independent designer-maker with over a decade of experience in creating thoughtful, lasting objects that balance functionality, sustainability, and beauty. His work spans finely crafted homewares, sculptural artwork and bespoke freestanding furniture.
Rooted in a passion for design and respect for craftsmanship, Tom’s practice is inspired by the relationship between the natural world and our place within it. He creates considered, desirable objects that encourage long-term connection, challenging society’s culture of consumption and waste. By working sensitively and responsibly with materials, he ensures each piece carries both function and meaning.
Tom’s creative journey began in childhood, fuelled by curiosity, experimentation, and play in his grandfather’s workshop. An early career in industrial design honed his process and material knowledge, before he turned towards a more intuitive, exploratory approach. Today, Tom reflects this ongoing journey: adventurous, tactile, and committed to making objects that matter.
