As an accomplished designer, maker and tutor, Samantha Robinson’s specialism is mixed media ceramics. Her work offers subtle combinations of textured ceramics and metals, presented as collections of jewellery and homeware pieces.
Using porcelain’s pure qualities throughout, with the addition of copper and silver, Samantha has developed her ideas through the making process. Her techniques include slip casting, hand building, silversmithing techniques, stitch and embossing unexpected elements.
For well over a decade Samantha has worked both solo and in collaboration with other makers, on a range of freelance projects. These encompass exhibitions, retail outlets, private commissions and developed workshops for the private and public sector.
