Julia Parry-Jones

asymmetry and hidden details

Julia creates one-off and limited-edition wearable drawings inspired by breath and meditation. Rooted in lived experience, each piece begins as a drawn gesture, capturing the rhythm and energy of a moment, before being transformed into a tangible object. Her work spans brooches, earrings, pendants and rings – tiny wearable artworks that act as anchors to the present.

Drawing on her fine art background, she blends traditional techniques like piercing and setting with experimental methods such as 3D drawing, electroforming, and embroidery. Embracing multifunctionality and playfulness, her work contributes to the ongoing dialogue between Art, Craft, and Design while championing the positive social impact of handmade narrative objects.

Julia graduated with First Class Honours in Fine Art from the Norwich School of Art and Design in 2008. She honed her jewellery skills through short courses in Hatton Garden, before establishing her independent practice as an art jeweller in 2010. Her award-winning work has been featured in numerous publications and exhibited at leading galleries and shows across the UK.
