Eleanor Nadimi is a London-based interdisciplinary artist working across painting, textiles and straw marquetry. With a background in textile design and an MA from the Royal College of Art, her practice explores the relationship between colour, material and atmosphere through tactile works that move between fine art, craft and functional objects.
Inspired by architecture, interiors and her Iranian heritage, Eleanor’s work balances geometry with softness, and precision with intuition; combining paint, textile processes and straw marquetry through an approach centred on layering, composition and surface.
Expanding across artwork, furniture and functional pieces, her practice is driven by a belief in the importance of beauty within everyday life, and in the ability of colour and material to shape atmosphere, emotion and spatial experience.
Alongside her studio practice, Eleanor founded British homeware brand One Nine Eight Five, where her ongoing interest in craftsmanship and sustainability continues to inform her wider work.
Eleanor joined Design-Natiom in 2026.
