Cosmin Ciofirdel is a ceramic artist whose practice centres on creating refined, elegant vessels that explore the relationship between form, function, and surface. Working primarily in stoneware and porcelain, his pieces celebrate simplicity and thoughtful design, with subtle variations in shape, colour, and texture.
While functional, each of Cosmin’s vessels is approached as a sculptural form — an investigation into rhythm, material, and contemplation. His work contributes to contemporary design and craft by drawing on traditional techniques and modern sensibilities, engaging with current conversations in contemporary ceramics.
Cosmin says, “I am influenced by modernist design and everyday aesthetics, and investigate how form, rhythm, and the presence of material shape our experience of space and use. I value restraint, clarity, and the quiet impact of well-resolved design.”
Cosmin joined Design-Nation in summer 2025 as a Professional member.
