Antonia Salmon has worked as a ceramic sculptor for 40 years. During that time she has exhibited in the United Kingdom, Europe and USA. Antonia also runs masterclass workshops and lectures in ceramics at Derby University.
Current ceramic processes are informed by Antonia’s experiences of walking in the landscapes of the Peak District; hand building with naked clay; and a smoke firing process that imparts subtle shades or dramatic flashing to her elemental forms. Her processes are refined, her objects exquisitely honed and burnished .
Antonia aims to capture the essences of movement and stillness of wind, water, rock formations and space. Her finished works are contemplative, enduring and uplifting.
Antonia joined Design-Nation as a Professional member in 2026.
