I have been strongly inspired by geometric and natural forms. Exploring a combination of geometry and nature, I create something unique from these apparent opposites. This concept is united with my tenacity to craft one of a kind pieces, as well as producing small batches for retail.
The techniques I use in my practice are wax carving, especially with semi-precious and precious stones. I also cast forms from nature and work directly in to this precious metal to produce unique pieces. Along with these processes, I experiment using traditional jewellery making techniques. Producing an unusual marriage of natural and calculated shapes, I endeavour to produce wearable items that people could enjoy every day. My work, while having commercial success, also offers something new and practical to contemporary craft jewellery.
