Michaela McMillan creates embellished individual handmade sculptures depicting stories about characters and often presented inside glass domes.
Michaela says, “My creations combine a narrative with a love of objects, colour, form and detail. My works contains elements of truth and fact, influenced by stories I hear, or experiences I have had, and then woven into imagined tales. I use found objects, natural materials, papers and textiles to create the layers of each piece. I include a short plot with each figure to hint at their personality and history.”
