Although trained as a jeweller, over the last twentyfive years Mandy Nash has been slowly introducing textiles into her practice; working in these two disciplines but exhibiting them separately.
Traditional and contemporary textiles have consistently been a major influence on Mandy’s practice, so the transition from creating colourful, non-precious jewellery to textiles was not a large step. Her three passions are colour, pattern and process; she loves making things and exploring the possibilities of different materials. Mandy works subconsciously, entwining observations from her travels around the world, and endeavouring to evoke an emotional response, whether directly or indirectly, by using colour and pattern to create a mood.
Mandy joined Design-Nation in 2026.
