Cassandra Sabo is a textile designer and hand-weaver based in Oxford, who creates richly textured, sustainable textiles for contemporary interiors. Her practice blends craftsmanship and innovation, rooted in both structure and material, and informed by studies in building engineering and woven textile design.
Using analytical, problem-solving thinking, Cassandra develops woven surfaces that translate architectural forms and inspiration from the natural world into tactile, three-dimensional textiles and one-of-a-kind interior products, from sculptural pieces to functional design objects.
Alongside this structural approach, Cassandra brings an intuitive eye for colour, creating palettes that calm a space or introduce energy and contrast, tailored to the interior and atmosphere that each piece is designed to inhabit. Sustainability is embedded into her practice through a circular design process shaped by the same problem-solving mindset. She hand-spins studio fibre waste into new yarns—often returning them to the loom—and repurposes handwoven offcuts into thoughtful gifts for clients.
Cassandra joined Design-Nation as a Professional member in 2026.
