My ceramic artwork is created as a direct response to the natural world which offers colour, form, texture and intrigue as a starting point for my work. I usually combine making techniques of pinching, coiling, slabbing and also create my own small moulds directly from nature. I draw my inspiration from the complex patterns and detailed forms I can find both above ground and under water. Much of my work has concerned repeat patterns in nature. I am driven to push clay to its limits in order to achieve a successful piece.
