Verity Pulford is a glass artist living and working in rural North Wales. She uses a variety of processes to create her work: combining kilnforming, casting and architectural techniques in unique ways, to create vessels, sculpture, architectural and public art.
The qualities of glass inspire Verity constantly: the fragility and strength, transparency, opacity, the ability to create layers, depth, pattern, texture – and all of this combined with the unique ability of glass to transmit, reflect and channel light. It is a material Verity feels passionate about and it allows her to communicate the spirituality she finds within nature into the actual.
Verity’s work pushes at the boundaries of what is possible with glass, in the way in which she combines different areas of glass making. Her work is unique and thought-provoking.
