Taz Pollard is an award-winning designer-maker, living and working in North Devon. During her MA she studied the traditional pottery of the area, from the post medieval period to the present day. As she developed her skills and knowledge, Taz also worked with local archaeologists to delve further into the past, the better to inform her contemporary work.
While Taz’s pieces have moved on considerably from traditional beginnings to the contemporary table wares she now produces, expert craftsmanship is still at the heart of her practice. Her work is handmade and clearly bears the marks of the maker, with the result that each piece is truly unique and beautifully imperfect.
Taz Pollard is one of Design-Nation’s Fellows.
