I create sculptural illustrations. I love the quality of line that wire creates; its shape, shadow and form. I explore the concept of a framework, a pattern, a plant or a skeletal form.

The process of bending wire is immediate, a commitment to creating an expressive line that exists in three dimensions. My work is inspired by natural forms: climbing foliage, human and animal anatomy.

The process of bending wire is immediate and intimate; each gesture is irrevocable – a commitment to creating an expressive line that exists in three dimensions.

Within my work I aim to create a dynamic contrast of solid three dimensional line and the negative space in between, creating captivating pieces which possess intricate detail and tactile qualities.

My large scale wirework sculptures are created to interact with the space around them, to impact the environment around them, creating shadows and movement, the aim is to simplify, highlight and identify those patterns in nature and use them to create repeated forms that can be moved and placed to interact with their immediate surroundings.
