Jo Lavelle has run a successful jewellery studio in Manchester for over twenty years. A love of texture and movement are the major inspirations that Jo brings to her jewellery collections – they are mainly silver, with highlights of gold and carefully sourced stones.
Jo’s jewellery can be described as interactive, tactile, intricate and also sculptural. Her collections are aimed at being interactive to the wearer, with movement and tactile qualities. Her inspiration and design style stems from patterns in nature that create repeated forms with beautiful intricate detail.
The most popular range of jewellery is called Pompom, characterised by the use of different sizes and shapes of silver tags which are repeated and bunched together in various ways. Jo also incorporates semi-precious stones in some of her designs.
All Jo Lavelle Jewellery collections are handmade in her Manchester studio, using a wide variety of traditional hand tools, combined with casting and stone setting.
