Jennie McCall’s recent work brings together years of professional practice in ceramics, textiles and mixed media. She creates sculptural and functional pieces influenced and inspired by the natural world, myth and folklore.
Most of Jennie’s work is made in porcelain and more recently parian. She also embeds metal and wood elements into some of her pieces. ‘Nest and Nurture’ and ‘Ebb and Flow’ are ongoing themes, which she has developed as the basis for most of her collections. Jennie’s work is intended to appeal to interior design outlets as well as contemporary galleries.
Jennie develops many of her ideas by manipulating new materials using advanced craft techniques and she enjoys the challenge of combining innovative concepts with form and function.
Jennie McCall is one of Design-Nation’s Fellows.
