Jacky Puzey is a designer-maker specialising in digital embroidery; she offers a range of products for interiors, and undertakes commissions and collaborations.
From feral lace to embellished creatures, from feathered interior screens to shimmering metallic bomber jackets, Jacky’s embroidery creates new fabrics, textures and stories. Combining traditional craft skills with digital technology, she uses fur, feathers, tweed and organza as well as drawing, laser cutting and digital embroidery to explore a baroque pleasure in imagery and style.
Jacky’s works, created in her Bristol studio, combine artisan skill and digital technologies to produce innovative contemporary craft; she creates embroidery that pushes both her technology’s capabilities, and the embroidered crafted aesthetic.
Jacky Puzey is one of Design-Nation’s Fellows.
