Design Solutions for COVID-19: please help this crowd-funded project

We know Design-Nation members are a clever lot. Being a good designer is all about creative problem solving, and not just for nice interiors. So we were particularly impressed to hear yesterday about a crowdfunding campaign from Oli Turnpenney, which will help him to 3D print reusable face-shields for NHS staff working on the COVID-19 front line. And if you donate at least £10 you will get our own face-shield. Great idea and nothing not to like in this admirable commitment to fighting the virus.

Lincolnshire based Oli Turnpenney is one of Design-Nation’s newest members, joining our graduate scheme at the end of 2019. He is currently half way through a Design MA at the University of Lincoln and impressed us with his range of intriguingly textured, digitally printed vessels and beakers. 3D printing is a technique that Oli is very familiar with and he is currently expanding his tableware range to include new shapes such as plates and bowls. The Design-Nation team wish him all the best with his studies, his products and especially this important crowdfunder.
